Oregon Urology Institute (OUI) has a Full-Time, Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II) job opportunity.

Requirements:
- Qualified applicants must hold a current Oregon CNA II certification & basic life support.
- All new employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and able to provide proof on their first day of work.
- All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference and background check in order to be considered for employment.
SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting physicians and nurses with patient care, and environmental tasks. Conveys a positive image of clinic.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.; collecting patient medication history; assisting physicians/nurses with various procedures;
- Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: occasionally sending/receiving patient medical records; occasionally obtaining lab/x-ray reports, completing forms/requisitions as needed;
- Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned which may include: setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/procedure rooms;
- Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned which may include: respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency codes; sharing problems relating to patients and/or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.
EDUCATION: Successful completion of Certified Nursing Aide program.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year CNA experience preferred. Previous clinic experience a plus.
REQUIREMENTS: Must maintain appropriate CNA II certificate in Oregon and CPR certification.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of health care field and medical specialty.
- Knowledge of principles of body mechanics.
- Knowledge of methods of maintaining a safe working environment.

- Skill in performing tasks appropriately.

- Skill in understanding of patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand
coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular.
