IT Assistant, Part Time

Oregon Urology Institute (OUI) has a part time IT Assistant opportunity available to support the OUI and OSC employees.

Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.


Role Summary:

The IT Assistant assists with developing framework and resources for the Oregon Urology Institute and Oregon SurgiCenter teams. While this role will not handle day to day support for the teams, he/she will work closely with the NSC teams to address issues and escalate matters outside of scope as necessary.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with developing applications and leverage existing technology to build department education and communication resources.
  • Assist IT Coordinator with software implementation and rollout to OUI and OSC staff.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Assist with backing up data, checking for corrupted data, and controlling and streamlining data access
  • With the IT Coordinator's approval, create and maintain documentation and technical processes

Education and/or Experience:

  • Actively pursuing or recent completion of Bachelor or Science in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or similar discipline
  • 1+ year experience working in an IT environment highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in a SharePoint environment highly preferred
  • Previous demonstrated experience in process development and documentation preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to think outside the box to solve problems.
  • Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to speak technical terms and concepts to non-technical employees, understanding their needs and providing potential technology-based solutions to make day to day work easier.

This is a part time position. No nights or weekends.
