Materials Manager Medical

Oregon Urology Institute has an opening for Materials Manager. This position is responsible to oversee the planning, procurement, storage, control and distribution of materials and products according to the company needs and requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Monitor inventory levels and access to materials.
• Research potential vendors and negotiate prices.
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within required timelines.
• Maintains and ensures accuracy of inventory.
• Schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Oversees shipping and receiving functions related to purchased materials.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce transportation costs and charges.
• Managers and monitors storage of purchased materials within the organization.
• Responsible to maintain inventory.
• Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste.
• Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity and vendors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
• Solid understanding and proficient with inventory reporting systems and supply chain.
• Communication and leadership skills.
• Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Proven managerial experience a plus.

Education/Experience:

• Two years of experience in similar role.
• High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Prolonged periods of standing and bending.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
