Oregon Urology Institute has a Full-time, New Patient Referral Specialist opportunity available.

Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES This role will call patients who have received a referral from another provider and schedule new patient appointments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Call patients and schedule new patient appointments.
  • Build charts for new patients with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Assist with granting portal access to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Work with referral team, providers, and nursing staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent Patient Service skills and abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills required.
  • Communicating by telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years relevant medical experience or equivalent preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology desirable.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must be flexible and quick learner.
  • Experience working in a Windows based EMR/PM is preferred.
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills.

ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to communicate with patients effectively and professionally.
  1. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with interdepartmental personnel.
  2. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference, and background check to be considered for employment.
