Oregon Urology Institute has a Full-Time, RN Triage opportunity available.

Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.

We are looking for energetic, hardworking RNs who want to use their nursing skills to assist our patients in the triage department. RN's will have opportunity to learn how the clinics run, diagnoses treated, procedures performed, medication administered to best assist patient with questions who are contacting the office via phone or portal. We need applicants who like to work in a fast-paced environment, are eager to learn, communicate effectively, are detail oriented, have excellent computer/typing skills, and want to be part of a caring, compassionate, and highly skilled team providing exceptional care.

Details:

  • Answering patient phone calls
  • Creating a phone note in the EMR outlining the patient's situation, background, assessment, and recommendations/questions for the provider to review and advise.
  • Answering the backline phone (mainly physician phone calls trying to reach a urologist)
  • Routing the phone note to the appropriate provider
  • Concise communication written and verbal with appropriate provider describing patient needs.
  • Contacting patients with provider instructions
  • After training completed and job knowledge/performance demonstrated, there may be an opportunity for this position to work remotely/hybrid.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years clinical experience preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited RN program required.
  • Current unencumbered RN license
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible and a quick learner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with physicians, patients, and co-workers.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergent situations.
  • Current healthcare level CPR certification required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference, and background checks to be considered for employment. All new employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and able to provide proof on their first day of work.
